Apprenticeship Programs
This is a four program. Apprentices complete 8000 hours of OJT and a minimum of 576 hours of related classroom training. Note: A current first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) card will be required in addition to the minimum related training hours
CAREER
This apprenticeship leads to the General Journeyman Electrician license. Inside electricians
perform electrical installations, construction, maintenance, repair and service. They
work on electrical construction projects ranging from single-family residences to
state-of-the-art industrial plants. They install conduits and wire lighting, switches,
converters, and complex computerized systems.
Working Conditions
The work done as an electrician may be strenuous. The working environment varies,
depending on the type of job. The work can require considerable standing, bending,
reaching and lifting and may be conducted in cramped spaces or at great heights. You
may be subjected to extremes in temperatures and weather conditions.
Average Journeyman Wage
Statewide: $32.97/Hr.
Malheur County: $28.60/Hr.

The Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is a four year program. Entry into an apprenticeship program requires students to be 16 years of age or older; registered with the State of Idaho Division of Building Safety; work under the direct supervision of a journeyman; and register for approved apprenticeship classes.
This program fulfills the annual 144 hour minimum classroom training requirement and assists in preparing individuals for residential, commercial and industrial plumbing journey worker positions.
Classroom instruction will be offered in a hybrid format-delivered online and in class with lab access. Content will focus on plumbing theory, Uniform & Idaho Plumbing Code requirements, residential and commercial installations, blueprint reading, job safety and much more.
